Family Vacation

The perfect property for what we needed. More than enough space to house three families -- with six adults and four little kids. The views are breathtaking -- beautiful sunsets and dolphin watching. Beachfront Only kindly dropped off Thanksgiving supplies as well - a nice gesture. We were lucky to experience both high tide and low tide, where the kids could play right out front. Location is wonderful too - lots of great restaurants and parks to walk to.

Two families (four adults and three children) stayed in this property over the Thanksgiving holiday week. The location in proximity to downtown Oceanside and Carlsbad was excellent and the ocean front view was wonderful! The property had plenty of room for all seven occupants and included plenty of towels and beach towels. The property management company was extremely attentive and responsive. The guest portal was very easy to use and included detailed information on the property layout, parking, door codes, etc. Check-in and check-out procedures were clear and easy to follow. We were disappointed that the property did not include a gate for easy access to the staircases down to the beach. Future considerations for improvement include: (1) the carpets were extremely dirty, stained, and damaged -- recommend cleaning or replacing them; (2) the vinyl/tile/wood flooring in several rooms and bathrooms was sinking and should be replaced for safety; (3) consider adding more pots and pans to accommodate large numbers of occupants and adding a new set of kitchen knives (the current set is extremely dull and difficult to use); (4) add a gate so guests can easily access the staircases that go down to the beach/ocean level; (5) all of the rooms had timers on the lights and AC units...the ones in the kitchen were problematic because they had extremely short time durations and continuously went off and had to be repeatedly turned back on...consider giving a multi-hour option on the kitchen light timers. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay! We will definitely consider booking with this company again on future trips to the CA coast.

This is the second time our group has stayed here and we love it. Each time was with four couples and the space is perfect for us. Huge kitchen table, big living room, large deck, and great views great communication from the ownership group.

It was a good stay overall. Disappointed the the top bunk bed was not made. There are some planks on the deck that should be leveled out to avoid someone tripping. Especially an elderly person. The view & the weather we’re amazing.

It looks like this property could use some TLC. A lot of rotting wood - the upstairs deck, in particular. Ceiling fan/light still don't work - we've brought it to your attention at least 3 years in a row. Lots of big weeds growing at the edge of the fake grass. Several of us gardeners were tempted to pull them!? Would be wonderful if they made the "office" downstairs back into a bedroom! The couch is unusable as a bed?. Kitchen amenities great - love the ice makers, but need a couple of sharp paring knives.

Always a pleasure

We have stayed at this location numerous times for our quilt retreat. We always love the view, the kitchen table large enough that we all eat together. Staff is good with communication and always very polite! We cook all our meals, so a little more storage containers would be great, but since I know we use them alit, I bring my own ?. I totally get the carpet for sound, but would much rather it be gone. We will be back next month, so obviously nothing is a deal breaker!!

The views here are exquisite! The large kitchen and living room easily accommodated our whole family of ten with comfort and room to spare. We had a fabulous time and appreciated such spaciousness. Each evening watching the waves roll in was magical! Our thanks to the management team who made check in and out easy and efficient. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants ocean front views and comfort on their vacation! Thanks again!

The home is very spacious, clean and comfortable. Beachfront Only is very professional and provides an experience that is similar to staying in a hotel. The bedding and towels are uniform.
The only drawback to the property is there is no beach in front of the home. Many years ago, we would rent homes in the same area and there was always a small stretch of beach unless it was high tide. I would rent from Beachfront Only again but I would need beach access that is within a block of the property.

Overall we had a great stay and would rent this unit again. The layout of our rental was perfect for four adults and 3 kids. There weren't many stairs to climb daily (especially for kid safety), the living room was ample and there was plenty of room in the kitchen. The bedrooms, bathrooms and bedding were clean and roomy - enough space for everyone. The furniture was in a great shape. We appreciated the plentiful bath towels and pillows. The kitchen was well appointed (not always the case in rentals). The downstairs patio and views were great. The second floor deck was roomy with great views as well. We took some really beautiful pix. If there are a few things to perhaps improve upon, the floors were a little dirty, when we spilled some water on the floor and wiped it clean, we noticed there was a lot of dirt on the paper towel. The ice maker machine had orange rust/stains inside so it deterred us from using it. Thank you.

We loved the location of the property. Also the layout of the home. Staff responded quickly to any concerns or needs we had during our visit. There was a lot to love about the rental property. The exceptions were the poorly working grill, firepit, very worn and stained carpet and some aspects of the kitchen supplies, 1 small worn cooking sheet but 3 muffin pans as an example. But all and all I would recommend this rental and we are looking forward to staying there in the future.

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and it is perfect for our family! The view, the amenities, are all perfect. There were a couple of things that could have been addressed before our stay. Both screens to the patio were missing and/or broken. We worked around it. The headboards that are mounted on the wall were very dusty and the floor in the master is starting to warp under the vinyl. Under the sink in the master smells like there is serious mold or mildew going through on. Our plan is to stay at this very property with our family every other year for thanksgiving and would love to have this property in good shape for years to come!
Your staff is amazing. Even over a very busy week they were responsive and helpful and even had a bbq lighter delivered since we could not use the igniter! What service! The Almanza family thanks you! Wonderful wonderful stay!

Truly Beachfront

Location, Location, Location. This is just South of the Strand, no traffic (vehicle or foot) between the property and the ocean but still a short walk to the Strand and the activity around the pier. Some in our group couldn\'t walk a lot, fortunately, Oceanside just started a free service called \"Circuit\" for getting around the city, this unit is in the service area and they got us everywhere they wanted to go. On a few days we had dolphins and sea lions passing by just off shore. The space is layed out well allowing space for everyone and a large common area in the unit from the kitchen to the living room and onto the deck. The open space extends down to the first level with beachside common area shared with the other unit. Plenty of space, bbq, lounge chairs and firepit with a real fire, found firewood at the Wisconsin Market just down the street, fun night!! The unit is older but has been updated, carpets could be cleaned but overall an excellent space. The management is quick to address anything, promptly replies to texts. Had a couple small items and they were taken care of before we got back from breakfast. Checking in and out,very easy. Yes, we would book here again.

We have used Beachfront Only rentals several times

Overall the property was very nice, although a little data. Unit had some minor maintenance issues, but nothing that effected our stay. Water dispenser on refrigerator was slow and the ice maker didn't work. However an ice making machine was provided. Management company responded quickly when notified. Due to the high tide we had no beach, but it was a short walk/drive to get to sand and surf. The beach was very nice and clean. The location was close to everything and parking was good. Only wish we had known to bring firewood for the firepit. We love Oceanside and Beachfront Only has always provided us with wonderful accommodations.

Great beach house

House was very clean, good location, perfect for a large family. Balcony was perfect for viewing dolphins and sea lions. There were steps down to the water through the large boulders but then there was smaller rocks probably for erosion control so no sand for the kids to play in. WE walked to the pier area and had a blast in the sand and water. The Tin Fish has excellent fish tacos and hamburgers. REally enjoyed this trip. The Beach Front Only experience was excellent.

Family beach trip

Made some fantastic memories with the family, great location, very nice place.. Down sides for such a big house very small bathrooms,the master bedroom had a horrible smell of maybe "MOLD", stained dirty carpet, dishwasher was falling forward, patio furniture very weather and ripped. This property needs some TLC. Over all the family had a great time but the price is not worth the property.
Pictures weren’t completely accurate

This is my 3rd stay with beachfront in the last 6 months and while we live the locations, the main issue with this home was it shows hardwood floors but it was carpeted. It had a musky old smell in the house from the carpet and was really surprised the pictures showed differently. Beach + water + carpet and lots of food traffic does not make for a good combination.

Fantastic Place

Great place. Large home, with lots of comfortable places to enjoy the beach. Quiet at night and mornings. Kitchen was large and great set up for whole family to hang out at kitchen. Only suggestion is that there should be more kitchen stuff (plates cookeware etc. to accommodate the up to 12 guests). Location is great; near dining, coffee house, markets, and Pier! Property manger was fantastic. Responded promptly and when had issue with sending paper work to be signed only a couple of hours before check in, they were responsive as well. I certainly recommend this place and Beach Only Rentals

Upper and Lower units at 913 Pacific Ave.

This is the second time our Quilt Guild has stayed in these units for our quilt retreat. Beautiful location! However we were not informed of the removal of some of the sleeping accomodations and that caused some issues. Had problems with the locks on the doors and garage, and the downstairs kitchen sink did not drain nor did the garbage disposal work properly. it was never resolved. It was difficult to communicate with the manager. The electrical breakers kept tripping - we had to figure it out ourselves. Not enough linens for the number of beds (blankets, too). Everything else was in working order and it's a wonderful facility.
Loved our family beach vacation

The house was perfect for all 10 people we had with us. The view is absolutely incredible. the location is good. Our only concern was of the condition of the backyard beach area. It wasn't well maintained at all. Sandy area & turf areas were overgrown with weeds, steps to get down to the beach area are half missing and it's not a very safe climb up or down on those rocks without those steps. Had a small garage door issue. But they got it fixed in 1 day. Thank You

Fantastic House!

Overall, perfection. Issues with the garage door code not working that never got resolved, but the garage space is tiny, so we decided we wouldn't be able to pull in our cars anyway. Aside from that WONDERFUL!
